Hardness - varies (approx 5 to 6) Luster - vitreous to waxy Deep midnight purple/blue in peach/white matrix, with prime areas of creamy lavender (normally sold by the carat or gram for jewelry cabs). The lavender is more vivid when polished. Takes a bright luster, can be fragile, but is well worth the extra effort. |
